The women's committee objects to the proposed diagnosis of ''premenstrual dysphoric disorder'' on the ground that it would stigmatize as psychiatrically disturbed women who were reacting to such biological discomforts as painful bloating. They also noted that there is no clear psychiatric treatment for the problem.
Some legal experts have objected that the premenstrual diagnosis could be used as a legal defense against, for example, charges of child abuse.

I'm wondering if you think (as it says) women with PMDD have been stigmatized?
