It's widely acknowledged that cramps are the worst of the symptoms; a survey by Feminax revealed that 1/3 of women say the pain actually makes them feel depressed. 14% of women admit to taking time off work for period pain but I am sure this figure would be higher if women felt able to say what was exactly going on for them.
If you have to stay home every time you have your period, your extreme period pain could be an indicator of endometriosis, so be sure to get checked for the condition. After 2 years of taking Mefenamic Acid to help with my extreme cramps (which actually helped) I went through other exploratory appointments.
I have now been diagnosed with Endometriosis which I am just learning to really understand. I will be back tomorrow to post further on this subject.
I hope you are all looking forward to the weekend.

The most common symptoms of Endometriosis include: painful periods or heavy periods, pain in the lower abdomen (tummy), pelvis or lower back. pain during and after sex, bleeding between periods and difficulty getting pregnant.
So now you can see why it is so important to discuss your symptoms in depth with your medical professionals. It would be so easy to receive a misdiagnosis because of some of these very similar symptoms.
